About Ray
Professionally, Ray's work takes him to the far reaches of the globe. With a career dedicated to installing communications equipment for the government, Ray's expertise knows no borders. His suitcase is his constant companion, accompanying him as he leaves his mark on communication networks worldwide.
Ray's personal life is a testament to enduring love and commitment. Married for an impressive 34 years, he shares his journey with a supportive partner who has been there through thick and thin. Their union has blessed them with two wonderful children and the joy of being grandparents to an incredible grandson.
In Ray's world, every mile traveled, every kite flown, and every connection established is a chapter in a rich tapestry of experiences. As he continues to navigate the roads and skies, Ray Miller remains a symbol of resilience, passion, and the enduring spirit of adventure.
Meet Ray Miller, a true adventurer born in 1961 and hailing from the picturesque town of Red Bluff, CA. Ray's journey is as dynamic as the landscapes he traverses. As the son of a Navy dad and a German immigrant mom, Ray inherited a blend of discipline and cultural richness that has shaped his character.
His heart beats for the road, and his loyal companion is none other than his beloved Subaru WRX Hawkeye. The sleek design and powerful performance of the WRX mirror Ray's own zest for life. Whether cruising along the winding roads of California or tackling challenging terrains, Ray and his WRX share an unspoken bond of thrill and freedom.
But Ray's adventures aren't confined to the asphalt. He's also an enthusiast of hyperkites, taking to the skies with these dynamic, high-flying creations. The sheer joy and exhilaration of flying kites at dizzying altitudes provide Ray with a unique perspective on the world.
Ray & His Kites
Ray, the soaring maestro of the skies whose passion for kite flying began as a unique outlet for his anger at the age of 18. From those early turbulent days, Ray has transformed his aerial pursuits into a remarkable journey with the Elite Kite team of Hawaii, where he showcased his mesmerizing skills as a professional flier. His talent reached new heights as a featured guest at the prestigious Washington State International Kite Festival, leaving spectators in awe.
Beyond the grand stages, Ray has found joy in sharing his expertise with others. With a success story that spans teaching hundreds to master the art of flying single, dual, and quad-line kites, Ray's teaching prowess is undeniable. However, there's one exception to his stellar record – a humorous misadventure involving his wife, who remains the sole individual unable to conquer the skies under Ray's guidance.
You can catch Ray in action at some of Southern California's most iconic locations, including Seaport Village in San Diego, Mission Beach near the roller coaster, and the picturesque Oceanside harbor. Join him in the dance of wind and string as he continues to paint the skies with colorful stories of passion and perseverance.

Whether it's the scenic coastal roads or the urban streets of San Diego, Ray and his trusty Subie have covered extensive ground together, creating a repository of memories etched into the miles traveled. The car, adorned with a few modifications, stands out as a distinctive presence on the road, a testament to Ray's passion for the automotive world.
Ray's commitment to the car culture is evident in his active involvement in multiple car clubs. Being a member of the San Diego Car Enthusiasts and North County Subies reflects his desire to connect with like-minded individuals who share a deep appreciation for automobiles, especially the iconic Subaru WRX.
Whether he's revving up the engine on a weekend drive or showcasing his pride and joy at car club events, Ray and his Hawkeye WRX have become inseparable companions in the vibrant car community of southern California. The shared experiences, modifications, and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts make Ray's Subaru more than just a mode of transportation – it's a symbol of his love for driving and the thriving car culture he's a part of.
